\f0\fs24 \cf0 The death is announced of Colonel Charles Thomas Caldecott, D.L., at the age of 79. He retired from the command of the 76th Foot (2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington\'92s West Riding Regiment) when the corps came to Sheffield some 30 years ago. He served with the battalion in India, and got his first commission in 1851, became lieutenant in 1854, captain 1860, major 1872, lieutenant-colonel 1877, and colonel 1879.}
